L1810 composites of single particle, which contains a well-defined network of interconnected macro-pores in each particle. L1810 behaves as heat exchanger when electrolyte filled inside the pores. Combined with the better thermal coefficient of Porocarb than classic carbon black, L1810 reduces the self-heating rate of the battery during discharge than that for the reference cell with carbon black only.
